Elizabeth Elsas Mandel received her BA in art history from Harvard University and her MFA in graphic design from Yale University. She is a Professor of Graphic Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, and previously taught graphic design at Parsons School of Design in New York. She has received design awards from the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Print Magazine, and the Association of American University Presses, and her writing has been published in Trace: AIGA Journal of Design.
David S. Mandel received his BA in history from Washington University in St. Louis and his graduate design degree from the Portfolio Center in Atlanta. He is a former Director of Exhibitions at the New-York Historical Society and an exhibition developer at Ralph Appelbaum Associates in New York City. He has 15 years of experience conceptualizing, planning, and managing the design and execution of major 2-D/3-D exhibits. Among 20+ awards and reviews received, the following are highlights: Communication Arts, Award of Excellence for Environmental Graphics, Country Music Hall of Fame; I.D. Annual Design Review, Honor Award for Environment; Presidential Award for Design Excellence, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum; and Communication Arts, Award of Excellence for Environmental Graphics, Liberation 1945 exhibit, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
